I made this card for Darvin for Valentine's Day--I loved how it turned out and at this point, I'm producing so little that I want to cherish everything. Posted by Hello

This photo has been waiting in a box for a few years. This morning I looked up at the "Women Who Run with the Wolves" poster that Darvin bought me and saw this quote from Clarissa Pinkola Estes and it seemed perfect. I'm grateful this morning that I'm no longer "la cautiva" and that I hightailed it to freedom and into Darvin's arms. Posted by Hello

My last and favorite of the night. When I tore the word "attitude" it ended up looking like a butterfly wing, which echoed the background. So I went looking for a word that could form the oher wing and found "art," which seemed appropriate. . . . In looking through the stuff I've done in the New Year, I can see that I've definitely moved out of my painting/"old fashioned pictures" rut. At the same time, I'm missing some of that, so I may need to return to doing some things with paint and vintage images.  Posted by Hello

Today I read an article on the web (written by a man, surprisingly) that discussed the schizo attitude we Americans have towards women being sexual. It's amazing that we still have the Madonna/Whore complex, but it's everywhere, and I struggle with it on a daily basis. This seemed to capture the energy of that confusion nicely. Posted by Hello

Another gluecard . . . I think this one needed some words, but I couldn't find anything that worked. So it's just images for now (and perhaps for always) Posted by Hello

So it's been literally weeks since I was able to produce anything, so these little 4x6 gluecards are my first forays into art after a long dry spell. I'm just grateful for being able to produce something I'm willing to actually glue down and put on the web. For now, the small space is saving me. . .  Posted by Hello
