A cropped negative of an earlier image. I'd forgotten how much fun it can be to work in my paint program, giving me something new that I hadn't anticipated.  Posted by Hello

These are actually 2 4x6 cards. I put them together in the scanner, however, and I got this. Sometimes I have to say to myself "duh." Like why didn't I see this before?  Posted by Hello

When we were in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, I found these 4x6 watercolor blocks. I find that the paper is working much better for me because it's stiffer than notecards. And if I ever venture back into some painting, they'll definitely hold up better. I like how the print from the other side of the page is showing through on this one.  Posted by Hello

I challenged myself to create as many 4x6 cards as I could using only the latest issue of "Oprah." This was one of my later attempts. I made a few earlier that are now in the really cool 4x6 photo holder I got at Ikea that looks like a film strip and holds about 8 of these things. Now I can just do revolving art. And at least I'm making some art again. Posted by Hello

This was the first one I did tonight and my favorite. This was one of those where everything "fit," which always gives me a tremendous sense of satisfaction. So I'm going to bed now, pleased that I was able to produce something, anything. . .  Posted by Hello

One thing that happened tonight--it's been awhile since I've been through all of my scraps, so I could see them differently. I know that something's going to work when I try something out and it fits perfectly with something else, like a jigsaw puzzle of sorts. It's also cool when I see a piece "backwards," like with the sillouhette of the man standing.  Posted by Hello

I'm afraid to say too much about any of this. I don't want to jinx the gods of creativity that smiled on me briefly tonight. Three pieces, all of which I actually liked. Maybe it's the small size of the canvas--4x6. Maybe it's that it was about time. Who knows? I'm keeping quiet.  Posted by Hello

How many weeks has it been since I produced something? I don't even want to know. But with the spring, sap is beginning to run through my veins, at least a little. I'm starting a project on fetishes--or at least collecting ideas--and this is just playing around. Darvin thinks this woman's body is gorgeous.  Posted by Hello
