Pensive

This is another journal page from the weekend, done on a Gelli print with Inktense pencils and Montana paint markers. It was very meditative to work on this as I stuck with just a few colors, trying to deepen what I had rather than adding in more.

The far eye should have been smaller, I realize. I'm still not good with proportions and giving that sense of depth. I do like the shape of her face though. Finally got the jaw line to go the way I wanted it to. I also like how I was able to get everything to work with the print, so that the spirals are on her face and neck and the circles are in her hair and clothing.
