I usually do the work first and then find a quote. I'm NOT good at "art on demand," so I doubt I could ever do this for a living, even if I had the talent for it. Whatever art I create just sort of emerges--then I'll play around with it a little, including adding quotes. I can't tell you how glad I am that I bought both a scanner and a paint program a few years ago, although I'm not terribly adept at the paint program.

Your artists quote pages are gorgeous! Are you influenced by the quote before creating the pages or do you find a quote that fits?
