Serene

I tend to do full-on faces, but have been trying to push myself to draw three quarter and other angles. It's hard to get proportions right and although I know there are ways to measure, etc., when I'm in the thick of art-making, I prefer to just wing it.

This one is one of my all-time favorites, created with Intktense sticks over a Gelli print. What's most amazing to me is the fact that it seems so complex, when in fact it really didn't take very much at all. Mostly it's the print that's doing the work.

This was most definitely a happy accident, which makes it all the more precious to me.
