This is different from my usual work--a scene, rather than being sort of abstract. I'd had the picture of the treehouse for a while and had wanted to make a tree from it. The balloons are from my birthday party in September

I truly enjoy your art. You're very talented. You must be some kind of professional in this area?

Nope, not a professional--just someone who uses the right side of her brain to maintain her sanity and the left side to make a living. Thanks for the positive feedback, though. Although I'm largely self-motivated, it's always nice to hear that other people like what I do, too.

I love this page. I would have never in a thousand years have thought of cutting around the flowers like that, but it works great.

To me, this collage is a reflection of what you must have felt like as a childhood victim of sexual abuse. Here we have this little girl carrying a basket of flowers, seemingly lost in dark, brooding woods that are painted with somber, violent colors.

I wonder if you even realize how much these things manifest through your art and creativity. It makes me sad, and angry for your sake, to see how darkness has colored your life. But, it also adds a degree of depth and wisdom to you that I know wouldn't be found in another woman who had not gone through similar things. I hope that our love can lead you out of those woods, eventually, or at least help you build a fortress inside of those hellish forests.

I love you.
